ACE Leadership

Cultural & Environmental Immersion

Our Cultural and Environmental experiential leadership expeditions build potential, grow real leadership skills, cultural awareness and push young people beyond comfort zones to find their magic within.

Our ACE Leadership program has been developed through our passion for 3 things.

  • Aboriginal history and cultural awareness – Spending time to build awareness, create empathy and inspire future generations.
  • Community Service – Finding ways to contributing meaningfully to the world beyond ourselves.
  • Environmental Stewardship – Connecting to the natural environment and being challenged to leave it better than we found it.

The expedition nature of the program supports the development of character and a strong sense of community building within the cohort.

East Kimberley

Kununurra is our gateway to the East Kimberley where adventures awaits, history, culture and stories abound, amid an awe-inspiring natural environment, and 350 million year old geology.

We explore Kununurra and the surrounding Miriuwung and Gajerrong country to understand the region and its people. Hear stories form the local characters and build knowledge and understanding of local and ancient history.

Experience adventure and challenge on the “Big Water” of Lake Argyle and the Ord River.  The expanse and tranquillity highlight the remoteness of your location and you will catch fish for dinner as you watch stunning sunsets night after night, sleeping under star filled skies.

We learn about the Ord River Irrigation Area and experience its agricultural bounty.  We bring together all aspects of the local environment, pastoralist history, the mining and resource industry, national parks and conservation areas as we take part in an community project that supports the local environment and habitats.

We will explore the remarkable world heritage site of Purnululu National Park  and the Bungle Bungles and finish the journey with a stay at the iconic and remote El Questro station enjoying the waterholes, gorges and natural springs.

AdventureWorks has built a really challenging and rewarding program for teenagers moving into adulthood. It offers several opportunities for students to participate, lead, give feedback or simply just challenge themselves through their own choices. Along the way, students learn a lot about themselves and develop confidence, trust, independence and resilience. This is probably the best school camp experience I have seen in my 18 years of teaching and I also find it rewarding for me personally and professionally.
