12-Month Rite of Passage Program

The Ultimate ROP Program for Schools.

Supporting students to grow into confident, capable young adults.

Helping Students Step Confidently Into Adulthood.

Imagine a school where every young person is supported to step into adulthood with confidence, resilience, and a clear sense of direction.

Through AdventureWorks WA’s Into Adulthood program, this becomes a structured and supported journey—not something left to chance. Built around a contemporary Rite of Passage framework, the program guides students through meaningful experiences that foster self-awareness, responsibility, and personal growth.

Supported by evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL), students develop the practical skills needed to navigate life’s challenges—both inside and beyond the classroom.

By involving the whole school community, we create an environment where students do more than just learn. They build strong relationships, challenge themselves in natural settings, and begin to understand who they are and who they want to become.

Guided by experienced facilitators and supported by their peers, students gain the confidence and capability to move forward—not just toward academic success, but toward a fulfilling and self-directed life.

Into Adulthood Program:

A 12-Month Rite of Passage Journey.

Into Adulthood is a 12-month program designed to guide students through one of the most important stages of their lives. Built around a contemporary Rite of Passage framework, it provides a clear and intentional pathway through the high school years—supporting young people as they develop into capable, self-aware adults.

More than a traditional social and emotional learning program, it creates meaningful change across the entire school community.

Teachers reconnect with purpose in the classroom, supported to have deeper conversations and a more lasting impact. Parents feel included and confident in how they support their child’s growth. And students develop the awareness, resilience, and mindset needed to navigate challenges and take ownership of their future.

With a strong focus on collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity, the program brings these capabilities to life through real experiences—making learning relevant, engaging, and lasting for everyone involved.

"AdventureWorks’ professionalism and collaborative nature have seen us work together to develop a model that works especially for our College ... and our context. What initially began as a program for Year 9 students is now developing over several year groups to create a cohesive and continuous program. Adventure Works’ programs are practical and experiential, allowing students to learn and develop through discussion, real life experiences and reflection. Their facilitators are very well trained, and adept at talking to young people at their own level. They create atmospheres and environments that are safe and comfortable for students – both physically and emotionally. One of their biggest assets is their willingness to evaluate and discuss openly the process and programs they implement – they are constantly looking for ways to further improve and develop what are already amazing programs."
